Meet Some Seagate People |
 Seagate
has around 110 members, many of whom are involved in the activities of the
church. Members give generously of their time, skills and abilities
in order to make Seagate's many services and activities possible.
It is great to see people growing in their
relationship with God, developing their spiritual gifts and taking
responsibilities in the God's service.
It therefore seems inappropriate to single
out individuals who just doing their part along with others. Those detailed here

OUR ELDERS :
The church has six Elders :
Gordon Cowan, Mark Inglis (chairman), Alan Macleod, Tom McClements (secretary),
Tom Smith, and Graham Wallace.

OUR PASTOR:
Our Pastor, Brian Gooding has been leading the church for eight years.
Brian and his wife Iris moved to Troon from Paisley.
 They
have five grown children and six grandchildren.
Brian is responsible for about half of the preaching at Seagate as well as
pastoral visitation, representing the church in the community. At present Brian
is involved in leadership of the Alpha Course and the Marriage Course.
Brian and Iris are both involved in Troon Healing Rooms. Healing On The Streets,
Light and Life and Brian is on the leadership teams of Scottish Counties Evangelistic
Movement, Mini Clan at Ayr and on the Advisory boards of Troon Healing Rooms and Kilmarnock branch of Aglow.
OUR YOUTH WORKER:
Our youth worker, David Gooding, with his wife Susie, have been doing youthwork at Seagate for almost three years.
David is a qualified RE teacher and youth worker having studied at International Christian College in Glasgow. They have
experience leading youth activities in Firestarters and Clan Gathering.
David is on the leadership team of Touch The World UK.
He is a School Chaplain at Marr College and Kilmarnock Academy and leads SU Groups at Marr College, Barassie Primary, Muirhead
Primary and Troon Primary Schools .
